| The Gemini N-250 is a general purpose meter suitable for laboratory, industrial, educational and environmental use. It is a very simple to use meter that automatically selects the most appropriate range for the current reading. The cell constant (K) of the probe may be displayed which provides a useful check on the calibration of the meter to the probe and allows easy calibration. The probe supplied has the ATC sensor built in for ease of use and the carrying case is a hard plastic attaché type case for permanent storage and transport of the meter and probe. |

| Conductivity System The N-250 uses a specially designed probe with 4 electrodes. Two electrodes carry an AC current through the sample & the other two electrodes monitor the voltage. This system allows measurements free from the cell plate surface resistance that produces a non-linear response in conventional probes, particularly at higher concentrations. The probe is less susceptible to contamination and drift and is accurate throughout the entire measurement range. This technique allows a robust epoxy/carbon probe to give the same or better performance than conventional glass/platinum probes which can still be used for highly reactive samples. |
